Social Activities
The Doctorial Researchers on Campus Bahrenfeld are often very focused on their work. To give them the opportunity to get to know their colleagues outside of that work, DOIT organizes multiple social events in the evenings or on weekends. Among those are BBQs, Bar outings, (online) game nights and sportive events such as water skiing, archery or cart driving.
We are always open for your ideas and suggestions for such events, just stop by at the next DOIT Meeting!

Career Activities
DOIT organises the repeating Job Seminar series where former Doctoral Researchers give insights into their current work and their path after completion of their Dr.

Political Activities
We represent the doctoral researchers' interests towards the different institutions on the Campus Bahrenfeld. This work is mostly conducted by the DOIT speakers.
DOIT is the official and acknowledged representation of DRs at DESY, PIER and the Hamburg University Physics Department. We meet on a regular basis with their respective leaders to report and discuss the situation of the DRs and suggest improvements where necessary.

Helmholtz Juniors
DOIT represents the Hamburg branch of DESY in the Helmholtz Juniors network which is the organisation of DRs representations of all 19 Helmholtz Centers with more than 8000 DRs all over Germany.
